I am a Masterpiece ... unlike those bottle inspirations!

See how cool my new panels look? And to think I'd made my earlier ugly ones the hard way. This strip idea cracked me up because of the feeding bottle dolphins. That's all they can take credit for. And jumping through hoops.
The car I tried to draw is supposed to be the Chevy Mako Shark model. That awesomely realistic looking shark sketch is my own - I figured it had been a while since I attempted some serious sketching.

New and improved comic character!

What on Earth is happening to the "Oh, Dakuwaqa!" comic strip? Clear lines, somewhat professional looking colour fills - it's actually looking like a comic one could take seriously. Who would have thought that I'd actually succeed in attempting digital sketching? I owe the big nudge to my friend the mouse who showed me some of the crucial techniques relevant to my comic. And of course, finally buying a tablet & pen didn't hurt. 

So, what do y'all think of the new and updated shark character? I haven't yet started doing strips like this - I tried this out as a design for someone and it worked! yay!

ps - The football looks great because I didn't do that. It's borrowed. I got too lazy to even trace it out.

The danger of aiming too low

I have this friend whom we call the "philosophical one" among us and it's her birthday this week so I thought I'd put this up in honor of that. I'd gotten the idea a while ago (when I read this quote in someone's email) and finally gotten around to drawing it.

I wasn't sure if it ought to have said "trip on it" instead of "trip over it" but I didn't want it to be misunderstood as a drug reference.
