Sibling's Fish Drawing - pt.2

Drawn by my sister (Don't miss the extra effort on the teeth). You can see how my whole family is just overflowing with a talent and love for drawing sharks. My mom always comes up with life-related sketch ideas for my shark, which if I ever draw and put up will have to change my name and go into hiding. They're actually great ideas... maybe someday under a pen name.

Born Thirty. Not free.

I think I was born 30. This was from an actual conversation that I had with someone. It's not fun being torn between wanting to sigh and wanting to roll your eyes at romantic comedies. The problem is that even though we know that some of these movies are so ridiculously unreal, we wouldn't enjoy it half as much if they had much reality in them. And the problem with fantasy is that if it ever really happened we'd just be incredulous about it.
Being jaded and in denial is not a great combination but I think sometimes those heart traits show up when you least want them to.

Hmm..what could be scarier than "Jaws"?

This poster would be awesome in colour! I just need to learn how to colour. And draw those bubble burst messages. Oh how the tables have turned for poor old Jaws. I figured I wouldn't be the first one to think of this and sure enough, I found this poster (looks way better than mine, of course). I think it's quite a good anti-shark-eating message.
I actually liked "Jaws" - it was a well made creature movie. It's sad that people took one look, freaked out about sharks and deemed them evil. That's like watching "Cujo" and deciding that all dogs are evil.
I do hope that the people who made the new "Piranha" don't do a remake of "Jaws" though. That movie was simply awful... way too gory (and most of the gore wasn't even because of the fish), too much nudity and profanity (I won't be able to let my kids watch and enjoy it like I did with "Jaws"?) - yeah, those things are a bit over-rated. If you need those to sell a movie, you must be extremely untalented.

Everybody wants to be an Emo cat

Emo cats have been known to randomly spring up and do dance numbers on fences. Therefore, the second panel makes total sense. These ideas come to me at that point between sleep and awake - luckily I can now jot them down on my ipod and not lose such fabulous thoughts. I wonder what Steve Jobs used to make a note of his ipod idea (This is not really a Steve Jobs tribute, by the way - I am very grateful for my ipod though).
It is, in fact, a birthday wish to the bestest Emo cat inspiration.

Why we need Slow Lorises

Is this what mated with a dog to produce pugs? I probably should have drawn its eyes bigger. Anyway, my dad suggested that I draw some of the creatures native to India that are under being threatened without many being aware of them. Not all creatures can be born tigers. I thought it was a great idea. This was the first creature I chose for obvious reasons.
I saw one in the wild a couple of months ago. They're quite cute. I hope there is a general increase in awareness to protect all endangered species.
