Nightsharks #2

This was part of my original vision for my Nighthawks parody. I think it would be rather fun to have coffee with Shaaark!  by Phil Watson and Sherman from Sherman's Lagoon by Jim Toomey. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to draw their sharks but they look recognizable enough, don't they?

I'd like to have a fourth shark to take the place of the barista though.

I'm FINished With Fins

I've been loving the FINished With Fins campaign especially their posters with celebrities covering their mouths and wanted to try it. I was so happy when Shark Savers and Wild Aid responded and gave me permission to use the logos.
My Shark is not cannibalistic or anything - it just really wanted to join the picture.

Apex Breacher

This is an updated version of the breaching strip I did a while ago. The first time I heard and saw anything about Great white sharks breaching was on a Chris Fallows documentary on Discovery channel. Needless to say, I was in awe. His photos became quite iconic and it's my dream to go on one of his expeditions someday.

The Greenlantern Shark at ComicCon

I just realised that I never posted this here. I'd done this last year just before Comic Con. People should dress up as Greenlantern shark!

I actually had quite a graphic dream about shark finning last night. I don't know if that meant I'm drawing too many sharks or not enough. That got me working on two anti-finning sketches. This is the first one.

Blues Band

Remember the Blues Band one I'd done a while ago? I've been wanting to do this one ever since that. I can't play any instruments but I had a lot of fun drawing these.

The Shark Ages

A while ago I wanted to rename this comic strip to "The Shark Ages" and announce the change with this strip. But several people said they actually like the title "Oh, Dakuwaqa!" so I guess I'll leave it that way for now. Besides, The Shark dressed in armor for no reason is funnier.

I'd drawn this a while ago as requested by "No Fin No Sin". I just realised that I hadn't posted it yet. I drew this with Manga Studio and was quite happy with the result. I did miss my fonts and brushes though.

Token Shark

I've been wanting to do this silly comic for a while now. I've noticed this Token Shark making its appearance in random movies like "My Super Ex-girlfriend", "Anchorman 2", "Despicable me", "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" and so on. I also found various lists of boring movies, so that's not just my opinion about the ones I've depicted.

Shark Week 2014: Lark Week, Shark Week!

I'm not sure if "Shark Week" is airing here this year (need to turn on the actual TV and check) but I still can't resist celebrating with the rest of the World. 

I can hear some annoying birds chirping away like crazy and I can't help but wish they'd get eaten by something!

ps - Yet again realise that I cannot draw birds!! 

Nightsharks

Here's my rendition of "Nighthawks" by Edward Hopper. This is another painting I saw for the first time at a friend's place. It must be nostalgia month or something. This is also another picture that has been parodied by several people. I haven't seen a Shark one yet though.
I wonder if I should change some of the sharks. I wasn't too sure about the Tiger and Oceanic.
And it's missing the red but I'm not going to make it look as if my shark was bleeding.

The dolphins must be up to something!

Have you ever heard this quote? "Keep smiling - it makes people wonder what you've been up to". Dolphins have a great defense.

ps - Sharks are so much easier to draw than dolphins!!
