I heard that the Basking shark (Cetorhinus maximus) season in Scotland has just begun so I thought this would be a nice way to acknowledge that.
The Basking shark is the second largest shark and another gentle one. They are hunted for "Shark liver oil" and are listed as vulnerable on the IUCN red list.
